With all the issues this Congress should be focusing on, they choose to focus on a lone Congressman’s outburst toward the president:
The House has voted to admonish Rep. Joe Wilson over his “You lie” outburst to President Barack Obama during the president’s health care speech to Congress last week.
The 240-179 vote on the resolution of disapproval reflected the sharp partisan divide over the issue. Democrats insisted that the South Carolina Republican take responsibility for what they said was a serious breach of decorum. Republicans characterized the vote as a political stunt.
Remember, in the same speech, Obama said “the time for bickering is over. The time for games has passed.” Not for everyone, it seems.
Joe Wilson is admonished, but Charlie Rangel still heads tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee.
By the way, when is Murtha going to have to apologize to the Marines?
And will Pete Stark have to apologize for tell one of his constitutents that urinating on him would be a waste of urine?
No, really.
You can tell your constituent he isn’t worth urinating on, but calling a lie a lie, that’s an outrage.
Democrats at work. Watch your step and for splatter.
