I realize on some blogs this is old news, but this is the first chance I’ve had this week to comment on it. I thought it was very important.
For all of those liberals who have decried my use of the term “Eco-marxists” in the past, there is no more room for criticism.
Hugo Chavez, socialist dictator of Venezuela, brought down the house in Copenhagen when he
paraphrased Karl Marx.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world,
the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause. When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was
deafening. But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after
quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ – “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost
that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell….let’s fight
against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation.
Here’s the video:
Chavez also took the time to ridicule our President:
“I don’t think Obama is here yet,” said Mr Chavez.
“He got the Nobel Peace Prize almost the same day as he sent 30,000 soldiers to kill innocent people in Afghanistan.”
To Chavez, dithering Obama is a warmonger. Chavez knows his crowd, and how to work them into a leftist frenzy, doesn’t he?
Two other socialists of note spoke in Copenhagen.
Evo Morales of Bolivia said, “Climate change isn’t a problem of technology or financing. It’s an issue of way of life and a
result of the capitalist system and if we don’t understand that then we’re never going to resolve these problems.”
And what would a gathering of Marxists be without brutal dictator Robert Mugabe telling the rest of us how to run a country:
The anti-capitalist theme was picked up on by Mr Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s veteran President, who is the target of Western sanctions
over alleged human rights abuses.“When these capitalist gods of carbon burp and belch their dangerous emissions, it’s we, the lesser mortals of the
developing sphere who gasp and sink and eventually die.”The 85-year-old said industrialised countries in the northern hemisphere which bore historical responsibility for global warming
showed none of the zeal for punishing ‘eco-offenders’ that they did for abusers of human rights.“Why is the guilty north not showing the same fundamentalist spirit it exhibits in our developing countries on human rights
matters on this more menacing threat of climate change?” he said.“Where are its sanctions for eco-offenders? When a country spits on the Kyoto Protocol by seeking to shrink from its diktats, or
by simply refusing to accede to it, is it not violating the global rule of law,” he added in reference to the core emissions
treaty which the US has refused to sign.
The eco-Marxists at Copenhagen ate this tripe up. There were no jeers of the idea that socialism is the answer to global warming. It was
an accepted fact that capitalism is the evil killing the planet.
If there was ever a doubt that socialist revolution was the driving force behind the global warming scam, it should be erased following
the diatribes of these three leftist dictators.

and of course the 3rd world countries are signing up for this because it’s those “evil capitalists” and “Guilty northeners” that are paying the bill and they get it all for free.
