Two Pentagon police officers and an alleged gunman are in the hospital, following a shoot-out at the busy Metro station entrance to the Pentagon.
Eyewitnesses tell 9NEWS NOW that it all started about 6:40 p.m.
A spokesman for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency says the suspect walked up to the entrance and opened fire. He wounded two officers.
Despite their injuries, those officers fired back and wounded the suspect.
The gunman is either nuts, or looking for suicide by cop. Not a place you want to go firing a gun off around.
