Who is the puppet master?

Our president is everywhere and speaking on TV almost every day, 5 times on Sunday and then Monday at Troy, NY and NYC for Letterman. Tuesday, he was at the UN in the morning, played basketball with his friend in the afternoon and spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative in the evening. Wednesday he is at the UN and then later this week he heads to Pittsburgh to propose a new world order for global finance! He has had the report from General McChrystal since August 30 and is still “analyzing” whether to try to win or not.

“McChrystal: More Forces or ‘Mission Failure’
Top U.S. Commander For Afghan War Calls Next 12 Months Decisive
By Bob Woodward
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, September 21, 2009
The top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan warns in an urgent, confidential assessment of the war that he needs more forces within the next year and bluntly states that without them, the eight-year conflict “will likely result in failure,” according to a copy of the 66-page document obtained by The Washington Post.
Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal says emphatically: “Failure to gain the initiative and reverse insurgent momentum in the near-term (next 12 months) — while Afghan security capacity matures — risks an outcome where defeating the insurgency is no longer possible.”
His assessment was sent to Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates on Aug. 30 and is now being reviewed by President Obama and his national security team.
McChrystal concludes the document’s five-page Commander’s Summary on a note of muted optimism: “While the situation is serious, success is still achievable.””

No matter how bright he is, it is hard to believe he has time to think and to perform his presidential duties. He seems to be following his record from IL of voting present and ‘speechifying’ while others do the heavy work. We (not me, but a majority of voters) elected him to be president not just to look the part. We deserve to know who is doing the work and telling him what to do and what to say. Somehow the jokes about the teleprompter of the USA (TOTUS) don’t seem as funny as they did at first. With the number of radical czars who did not require Senate approval surrounding the Oval Office what can we believe about the change he promised in the campaign? I have a hard time believing that “We the People” knew what we were voting to change and what the goal is.

And now from the AP:

“Fidel Castro praises Obama on climate change
By PAUL HAVEN (AP) – 3 hours ago
HAVANA — Barack Obama’s call for action on climate change and his admission that rich nations have a particular responsibility to lead has received strong praise from an unusual source — U.S. nemesis Fidel Castro.
The former Cuban leader on Wednesday called the American president’s speech at the United Nations “brave” and said no other American head of state would have had the courage to make similar remarks.”

It looks like we have a reading/speaking puppet and a teleprompter as our leader. Who is in really charge?

Even the left wing press in the UK sees Obama as impotent!

Obama the impotentThe disappointment with Barack Obama is tangible – on climate change and financial reform Europe leads while the US lags Comments 250 Buzz up! Digg it hill o Steven Hill o guardian.co.uk, Tuesday 22 September 2009 13.00 BST o Article historyMuch hope has been invested in Barack Obama’s ability to strike a new course for the US following eight years of Bush administration unpopularity. Yet many in the US and abroad are impatient with the pace of progress under the Obama administration. The president made the rounds on five news talkshows on Sunday as he pressed his policies and vision, preparing for what is likely to be a difficult week.Besides the ongoing battle over healthcare, this week sees two showdowns between Europe and the US that will reveal further slippage in American global leadership. The first showdown comes today at a UN special session on climate change in New York City; the second will come at the end of the week at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh, where America and Europe will butt heads over financial system reforms designed to ensure that the AIGs of the world can never again cause an economic collapse.Europe has been increasingly critical of America’s failures to live up to its global responsibilities. The US is not only the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases but is by far the largest per capita emitter of carbon and other pollutants. China comes close to the US in terms of total carbon emissions, but it has four times more people, who each belch far less individually. Europe, while having much the same high living standard, has an “ecological footprint” that is only half of America’s, since Europe has taken leadership in implementing renewable technologies and conservation practices.

When will the US Press wake up and start seeing what they have wrought on us?

President Barack Obama is beginning to look out of his depth (By Edward Lucas, UK Daily Telegraph 9-20 09)

The British Press has him pegged!

“It is lovely to feature in other people’s dreams. The problem comes when they wake up. Barack Obama is an eloquent, brainy and likeable man with a fascinating biography. He is not George Bush. Those are great qualities. But they are not enough to lead America, let alone the world.

Admittedly, the presidential to-do list is terrifying. The economy requires his full-time attention. So does health-care reform. And climate change. Indeed, he deserves praise for spending so much time on thankless foreign policy issues. He is tackling all the big problems: restarting Middle East peace talks, defanging Iran and North Korea and a “reset” of relations with Russia. But none of them are working.”

And the article concludes:

“Mr Obama’s public image rests increasingly heavily on his extraordinary speechifying abilities. His call in Cairo for a new start in relations with the Muslim world was pitch-perfect. So was his speech in Ghana, decrying Africa’s culture of bad government. His appeal to both houses of Congress to support health care was masterly – though the oratory was far more impressive than the mish-mash plan behind it. This morning he is blitzing the airwaves, giving interviews to all America’s main television stations.

But for what? Mr Obama has tactics a plenty – calm and patient engagement with unpleasant regimes, finding common interests, appealing to shared values – but where is the strategy? What, exactly, did “Change you can believe in” – the hallmark slogan of his campaign – actually mean?

The President’s domestic critics who accuse him of being the sinister wielder of a socialist master-plan are wide of the mark. The man who has run nothing more demanding than the Harvard Law Review is beginning to look out of his depth in the world’s top job. His credibility is seeping away, and it will require concrete achievements rather than more soaring oratory to recover it.

Soros: Republic Enemy #1

There is a power behind the problems in the country and it took a Canadian new service to tell us about it

“The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States.”—George Soros

“George Soros is an evil man. He’s anti-God, anti-family, anti-American, andanti-good.” —Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson

Is it possible to lay the global financial meltdown,  the radicalizing of the Democratic Party, and America’s moral decline, at the feet of one man?

It is indeed possible.

If George Soros isn’t the world’s preeminent “malignant messianic narcissist,” he’ll do until the real thing comes along.  Move over, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot.  There’s a new kid on the block.

Committee on Oversight and Government Reform – Republicans: Press Release :: Report: Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise?

Committee on Oversight and Government Reform – Republicans: Press Release :: Report: Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise?. This report that is available in full (88 pages) is available on the Internet for all to read.

It clearly states that ACORN has broken federal and state laws over and over again and yet Rep John Conyers has refused to investigate further! We need to demand that this be followed up immediately and that all funds be frozen until the full investigation is complete. The freeze should include all of the ACORN affiliates as the report explains that money to one is moved between the affiliates at the will of the leadership.  This report’s executive summary should be broadly published.  Where is the Media on this?

They just don't get it!

From an email from Senator Arlen Specter -

“A key point in the President’s presentation was his insistence that there not be any addition to the deficit or to the national debt, and he outlined a number of ideas where savings can be obtained. It is important in the public option that the President’s ideas be implemented to maintain a level playing field with private insurance plans.

I was very perturbed, frankly, about the outburst by South Carolina Representative Joseph Wilson who did not show proper respect to either the President or the Office of the Presidency. Representative Wilson has already issued an apology. In my own view, that is insufficient. I believe that there has to be consideration by the House of Representatives as to disciplinary action; that is within their purview. But being in the Chamber and seeing the outburst, it was unseemly and that kind of conduct ought not to be tolerated.”

Dear Senator,

We respectfully disagree with the comments you have made calling for a disciplinary action against Rep. Wilson. He spoke what many of us watching were thinking! It is not possible to believe that you can remove $600 billion from Medicare and add 30 million people to coverage and not create either deficits or rationing and the last point the President made was that if they cannot make budget restraints they will cut costs further! If that does not lead to rationing, then I suspect the tooth fairy will be bringing us the care!

When asked to exclude illegal aliens, The House committees rejected the amendments. And, by current law, any person entering a public hospital must be treated, regardless of their ability to pay. For the President to say that illegal immigrants will not be covered is not consistent even with his own previous speeches. Democrats never seemed to flinch from Booing President Bush and Senate leader Harry Reid called the President a liar on TV. Candidate (and Senator) Obama called former President Clinton a baldfaced liar in the campaign, If you want to discipline Rep Wilson, why did you not call these people to task?

Who are the fools?

The issues in the Healthcare debate are much simpler than the government wants us to see! There are issues of cost, of insurance coverage and of the delivery system. None of these issues requires us to scrap the finest medical research and delivery system in the World and to rebuild from scratch! But that is what the administration is trying to tell us! Then, to add confusion, they want us to believe there is only one possible proposed solution, the over 1,000 page HR 3200. They ignore HR 3400 (http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3400/text) submitted by Congressman, T. Price, MD (R-GA), perhaps because he is a Republican and the leaders do not recognize any Republican ideas!

Costs are driven by a number of factors including:
State mandated insurance benefits that drive up the cost of insurance
Excessive malpractice lawsuits that drive up the cost of malpractice insurance for providers and thus drive up costs for care. This includes excessive testing to protect against law suits.
Requirements that all entrants to a public hospital emergency room must be treated, including illegal immigrants. Follow on care can include excessive costs that could be avoided if the person is simply stabilized and then sent back to their own country for follow-up care.
Research into new drugs and medical procedures and equipment adds to the costs but also provides new breakthroughs that are not as prevalent elsewhere.
Small businesses are limited in their access to a variety of insurers due to their small size. They could get lower costs if they were able to be included in larger groups. Since small businesses are the major source of jobs in the US economy, especially new jobs, these costs are critical to future job growth.

None of these issues requires the dismantling of our healthcare delivery system. HR 3400 addresses a number of these cost issues without totally redesigning the healthcare delivery system and, in fact it has some built-in safeguards to protect the current system.

Another issue is the need to provide affordable insurance coverage for every American who wishes it. Congressmen Shadegg (R-AZ) and Heokstra (R-MI) have expressed a very simple answer to this in the Wall Street Journal, Friday, 9-4-09.

“The political disagreement is not whether to cover everyone, but how to do so. The president and congressional Democrats say we should create a new government-run plan, outlaw the health coverage Americans enjoy today, and let federal bureaucrats control the content and price of health plans. Their bill, H.R. 3200, is filled with more than a thousand pages of new mandates, penalties, regulations and taxes. It is nothing short of a complete takeover of the entire health-care system by Washington politicians.

We believe that all Americans deserve the ability to select health-care coverage that meets their needs—not the preferences of politicians. Republicans in Congress want to empower Americans to make their own choices by providing a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for you to purchase the plan of your choice. Those who cannot presently afford coverage would be able to select and purchase their own plan using a health-care voucher provided by the federal government.

If we give citizens the ability to control their own care, cover pre-existing conditions, and provide resources to the uninsured, we will have fixed health care in America. No bureaucrats. No new czars. No mandates. Just choice and coverage for every American.”

In a report released Friday, 9-4-09, on the Bernard Madoff case it was made clear that the government couldn’t see the Ponzi scheme even though they had numerous warnings. This was released on a Friday before a holiday weekend to avoid a big news story, ahead of the debate on government taking over healthcare. They don’t want us to think of the inefficiencies of government bureaucracies. We know that bigger government is never more efficient!

“The report also offers a rare look into the inner workings of a government agency and how turf battles and poor communication hampered investigative efforts. It reveals how the SEC’s various divisions didn’t always work together and how staff often looked into tips with blinders on, failing to see the big picture or take extra steps.”

We need to tell our elected representatives that we are not blind and “We thw People” are not fools! If they think they can force a total redesign of our healthcare system on us, against our stated wishes and without a fair and open debate of optional possibilities and we will look the other way and keep them in office, then they are the fools!

Throw them all out!

Remember, BOTH Democrats and Republicans have put us where we are today. DO NOT VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT!

Ain’t this the truth!

Brilliant Record:

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 – they’ve had 234 years to get it right; it is broke, and even though heavily subsidized, it can’t compete with private sector FedEx and UPS services.

Social Security was established in 1935 – they’ve had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 – they’ve had 71 years to get it right; it is broke. Freddie Mac was established in 1970 – they’ve had 39 years to get it right; it is broke. Together Fannie and Freddie have now led the entire world into the worst economic collapse in 80 years.

The War on Poverty was started in 1964 – they’ve had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our hard earned money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor”; it hasn’t worked.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 – they’ve had 44 years to get it right; they are both broke; and now our government dares to mention them as models for all US health care.

AMTRAK was established in 1970 – they’ve had 39 years to get it right; last year they bailed it out as it continues to run at a loss!

This year, a trillion dollars was committed in the massive political payoff called the Stimulus Bill of 2009; it shows NO sign of working; it’s been used to increase the size of governments across America , and raise government salaries while the rest of us suffer from economic hardships. It has yet to create a single new private sector job. Our national debt projections (approaching $10 trillion) have increased 400% in the last six months.

“Cash for Clunkers” was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009 – - after 80% of the cars purchased turned out to be produced by foreign companies, and dealers nationwide are buried under bureaucratic paperwork demanded by a government that is not yet paying them what was promised.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that each and every “service” shoved down our throats by an over-reaching government turns into disaster, how could any informed American trust our government to run or even set policies for America’s health care system – - 17% of our economy?

Each of us has a personal responsibility to let others in on this brilliant record before 2010. Help remove from office those who are voting to destroy capitalism and destroy our grandchildren’s future. Remember both Democrats and Republicans put us in the shape we are in today!
