Our Interview with Alec Rawls

By Duane Lester • Jul 1st, 2008 •

Alec Rawl, author of “Crescent of Betrayal: Dishonoring the Heroes of Flight 93″ joined us last night for a full hour to talk about the fight he has waged against the construction of the Flight 93 memorial. All of the information Alec talked about can be found at his website, Crescent of Betrayal, along with the peitition.

A few of the things we talked about include:

  • The winning design for the Flight 93 memorial is actually an Islamic crescent and star which, when dissected, points directly to Mecca, turning the memorial into a “mihrab,” the central feature around which every mosque is built.
  • Defenders of the design claim that since the world is round, any direction you face points to Mecca.
  • “Every place where the 40 heroes are memorialized, they are depicted as symbolically damned, cast out of the symbolic Islamic heavens. One example is in the Tower of Voices, where an Islamic shaped crescent soars in the sky above forty symbolic souls that literally dangle below”

Very interesting interview. If you don’t know the story behind the outrage, this is a good place to start.

Also, be sure to check out Alec’s blog for updates on the fight.

  • The left is going nuts because John McCain said it wasn’t important to bring the troops home from Iraq. The Politico says Democratic leaders are calling McCain “confused and heartless.” Really? Not so much. Let’s listen to the clip and see what McCain said. This stinks of the “staying in Iraq for 100 years” brouhaha.
  • Ron Paul is still trying to get his message heard. Now he is planning his own convention in St. Paul, Minn. It will be on the same day John McCain is confirmed as this year’s candidate for the Republican party.
  • Kucinich wants to impeach Bush, and he has introduced the articles of impeachment to the House. The left simultaneously orgasmed.
  • A 10 year old girl has given birth in St. Anthony, Idaho. The father sick bastard that raped the little girl…an illegal immigrant.
  • After a shakeup of the dentists in the National Health Service, Britain has found itself, surprise, serving fewer people than before. This at a time when Brits are actually pulling their own teeth because of a lack of dental care. But this will never happen under Barack Obama’s plan.

Democrats have maintained a socialist agenda for some time now, they just call it “Progressivism.” However, today Maxine Waters gave us another peek behind the curtain.

Speaking of peeks behind the curtain, how about what Representative Paul Kanjorski said on August 28, 2007?

Wanna see a woman back-peddle? Hillary brings up assassination and the election in the same conversation. She didn’t really mean that Barack was going to get shot, but don’t let the Obamatons let facts get in the way.

And finally, Tom Harkin, Democrat from Iowa, said that there is no way John McCain should be president. Why? His military record. It really shouldn’t surprise you.

Bush vetoed the $300 billion farm bill, as he should have. But the ethanol drunk Congress will likely overturn his veto. The House has already voted 316-108 to over ride. But there is a glitch.

Once again, the liberal Democrat Congress pulled in “Big Oil” to show the good people of America how much they care about them. Look at this quote:

“People we represent are hurting, the companies you represent are profiting”

What corporation isn’t after a profit? These socialist morons just don’t get it. The execs tried to educate these pinheads on basic economics, but I doubt it did any good. Facts have no place in a liberal’s decision making. Maybe the PM of Canada could teach our government a thing or two.

“I don’t think government should fool people into thinking it can control the price of gas. It generally speaking can’t,”

Here’s a good reason to homeschool your children: to keep social worker’s from strip searching them without your consent or knowledge. If you are a homeschooler, you should review this list: “The Social Worker at Your Door: 10 Helpful Hints,” written by Christopher J. Klicka, Senior Counsel for the Home School Legal Defense Association.

So, what do you do if you are a liberal and you just violated a gun control ban? You write legislation giving yourself amnesty and get one of the biggest anti-gun mayors to back your play.

Global Warming alarmists like to say that the energy companies are funding the skeptics. Well, Climate Resistance took a look at the books of the Church of Global Warming. Seems their coffers are fuller.

Also, San Francisco moves to eliminate industry from the Bay Area.

Remember the $286 billion farm bill I have been talking about since December? It passed, has grown to $307 billion and it is worse than I thought.

And just so you know, here’s how the House voted and here’s how the Senate voted.

Bloglines

Sister Toldjah recalls the best news she has heard all week. Zombyboy over at Resurrection song hammers Mike Huckabee on his feeble and offensive attempt at humor. And is it time to a serious third party? Malcolm Hedges at Howard was Right says it is.

Church of Global Warming

Steve Milloy of Junkscience.com has written a review of McCain’s climate speech. It wasn’t flattering.

The Nanny State

Warren Meyer at the Coyote Blog has a story about a kid who build a bike ramp and then crashed on said bike ramp. I think when I was a kid, we call ed this, um, playing. Anyway, the nanny state to the rescue. One woman says the government needs to make kids wear helmets. Wait until you hear this one.

Operation: Hearts and Minds

“Seven military members received USA Freedom Corps President’s Volunteer Service Awards through the Military Volunteer Recognition Initiative in a ceremony at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building here today.”

So, tell me what you think of this style of shownotes. It doesn’t really take that much longer, but I think it works better for the reader. But, what do I know? Sound off.

The Church of Global Warming is winning.

John McCain’s website offers a cap and trade system for American businesses which he says will increase jobs in American. The Calgary Sun says a cap and trade system is nothing more than a way to pay for your carbon sins. And they are right.

The United States government decides to protect polar bears as a threatened species. I guess the staghorn coral wasn’t cute enough.

What will this mean for the American economy? It will mean that environmentalists have a new tool in not only stopping the creation of new coal-fired power plants, but closing the ones that are operating now.

Also, are the polar bears really that threatened by global warming.

In other news,

  • an illegal alien sneaks into American with the sole purpose of robbing stores and skirting the loot back across the border. Then he met Lionel Sanchez.
  • Republicans lose a third special election in a traditionally red district. They respond by telling us they are the change we are seeking. Yeah, right.
  • America has given over $60 billion dollars to Egypt. The result? Egypt is one of the most anti-American countries in the Middle East. Time to stop the international welfare?
