Complete Blogosphere Meltdown over Father Pfleger

Another of Barack Obama’s moral compasses shows us what Barry has been taught for the last twenty years, and the blogs have gone nuts. Not only the blogs, but Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and others have shown what type of hate speech Obama sat and listened to for 20 years.

If you have been living under a rock, and don’t know what I am talking about, here is the video that started it all:

This is at Barack’s church, Trinity United Church of Christ, and the speaker, Father Michael Pfleger, had, until recently, written a testimonial on Barry’s campaign website. The Husaria has the screen shot, which has apparently been taken off the site.

Gateway Pundit illustrates how close Father Pfleger is to the campaign. Obama’s campaign manager is David Axelrod, who just happens to be listed as top chair in Father Pfleger’s church.

A Newt One found an article in the Chicago Tribune that they say “excoriates” Father Pfleger:

Pfleger talks of exposing “white entitlement and supremacy wherever it raises its head,” and then theatrically mocks Sen. Hillary Clinton. He stalks around the stage of Trinity United Church of Christ. He thunders: “When Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really don’t believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always thought: ‘This is mine! I’m Bill’s wife, I’m white and this is mine! I just gotta get up and step into the plate.’ And then out of nowhere came, ‘Hey, I’m Barack Obama’ and she said: ‘Oh, damn. Where did you come from? I’m white! I’m entitled! There’s a black man stealing my show!’ ”

Then he theatrically feigns tears and says: “She wasn’t the only one crying. There were a whole lot of white people crying.”

His words at Trinity showed an astounding lack of decency and good sense. It wasn’t a homily. It was a mocking, self-serving screed.

His act is getting old. A few months ago, Pfleger suggested that opponents of placing the Chicago Children’s Museum in Grant Park didn’t want black children in their neighborhood. Take what position you want on the museum, but it’s divisive and destructive to claim that racism is the motivation for opposition.

Obama said Pfleger’s words were “divisive” and “backward-looking.”

Pfleger apologized for what he said at Trinity.

Obama wants us to think this is an unusual sermon for Pfleger, but it isn’t. Pfleger wants us to think he is sorry, but he isn’t. The only thing he might feel sorry for is hurting Barry’s chance at the White House. He certainly isn’t sorry for hurting Hillary’s feelings, or anyone else’s.

Pfleger also has some kind words for professional Jew hater Louis Farrakhan. Sweetness & Light reminds us of the issue of “The Trumpet” that named Minister Farrakhan recipient of the “Jeremiah Wright Lifetime Achievement award.” In that issue, Pfleger was quoted:

“Minister Farrakhan is probably one of the most misunderstood and mis-defined leaders of our day,” says Pfleger. “When you don’t want to deal with someone’s truth, you try to destroy their character or redefine them …That’s what the media has sought to do with Minister Farrakhan. His truth causes America to face its racism and its hypocrisy.”

“Minister Farrakhan has been a personal friend for more than 20 years,” continues Pfleger. “His leadership has evolved, and I believe the coming days will see him as a unifying force, calling real Christians, real Jews and real Muslims to come together on principles of truth and justice… Contrary to those who want to make him anti-white and anti-Semitic, I believe Minister Farrakhan is presently building the umbrella for people of conscience to come together no matter the race or creed. I am honored to call him my brother.”

I’m sure that Barack never knew Father Pfleger had such warm feeling for Farrakhan. After all, he has only known the good Father for decades. The Liberty Sphere says that Pfleger raised funds for Barry’s state campaign. Then Barack directed over $200,000 in tax-payer money to his church. He even brought Pfleger to Iowa to help campaign.

But this is just guilt by association, right?

Elsewhere, the Catholic Church isn’t happy with Pfleger. Yesterday, “Cardinal Francis George of the Archdiocese of Chicago has HAMMERED Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina’s Catholic Church on the South Side of Chicago over his comments at Trinity United Church of Christ this past Sunday”:

“Racial issues are both political and moral and are also highly charged. Words can be differently interpreted, but Fr. Pfleger’s remarks about Senator Clinton are both partisan and amount to a personal attack. I regret that deeply.

“To avoid months of turmoil in the church, Fr. Pfleger has promised me that he will not enter into campaigning, will not publicly mention any candidate by name and will abide by the discipline common to all catholic priests.”

But the church knows about Pfleger’s racist diatribes and oddly, they refuse to do anything. In 2002, Pfleger stood before a crowd of 400 and said, “I am not quitting. You are going to have to have the balls to fire me.” This is a priest, folks. What is wrong with this picture?

If the church won’t act, the parishioners will, it seems. Michelle Malkin reports on a Catholic group called “Catholics Against Pfleger,” saying “Several readers e-mail that a group called Catholic Mothers Against Politics & Hate Being Preached From The Pulpit has set up a petition against race-baiting Rev. Michael Pfleger.” Here’s the link to that petition.

There are so many articles out there that are talking about this guy and the fact that Barack Obama has surrounded himself with some very hard core leftist beliefs. This isn’t an accident, folks. This is a deliberate act to further his political career. He has listened to these folks, and called them his mentor and spiritual compass. If you cannot see the problem with his associations, then you are without a brainstem. AS George Washington said:

Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company.

And for those like Alan Colmes, who keep repeating the mantra “But, but Hagee…but Parsley,” I’ll try to explain the difference. McCain did not associate with these folks for 20+ years. He did not attend their churches, listen to their sermons and just nod along until they became political baggage. He didn’t throw his own grandmother under a bus rather than distance himself from them. McCain just cut them loose. Embracing them just shows a lack of intelligence on his campaign for not vetting them before embracing them.

I am no McCain supporter, but be realistic. There just is no comparison, so just stop it.

Blogroll Work

I made some substantial additions to the blogroll last night. Right now they are all under “General Blogroll.” This is something I have been meaning to do for a while now, but it isn’t really interesting at all to do. It is really quite boring. But, it needed to be done.

If you own one of the blogs I linked to and found All American Blogger via the trackback, welcome! Take a look around, check out the archives and maybe link back to us.

I’ll be back this afternoon to play a little catch-up.

Colorado Opens Women's Room to Men, Predators

How can any logical person think this is a good idea?

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, a Democrat, signed Senate Bill 200, which essentially let’s any man who says he’s really a woman, use the women’s facilities in public places. By facilities, I mean the restroom and locker room:

The bill initially outlines requirements for the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and also bans discrimination based on sexual orientation for things like housing, car insurance, funeral services and public accommodation.

The bill also extends bans on discrimination, where previously unwritten, for things like race, creed, color, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, marital status and national origin or ancestry.

So what? Is it that bad? Yeah, it’s that bad. In the mind of the Colorado left, separate bathrooms for men and women are as awful as separate bathrooms for blacks and whites:

There are multiple problems with this legislation, but the problem of restrooms is the most breathtaking one. Until now, establishments open to the public have been allowed to restrict certain restrooms and locker rooms to one sex if it made sense to do so, as it almost always does. With SB 200, however, we no longer have two “sexes”; we enter a brave new world with a myriad of “sexual orientations” that must not be discriminated against, upon pain of the substantial civil and criminal penalties contained in the bill.

Woe to the first women’s fitness facility or mall owner who objects to a man dressed as a woman who wants to enter previously forbidden territory. And what an opportunity for sexual predators to use this law as “cover” to enter intimate areas in search of a victim.

A big part of the law is how “sexual orientation is defined,” as that will have a big impact on the application of the law:

In the bill, “sexual orientation” is defined as “a person’s orientation toward heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, or transgender status or another person’s perception thereof.” This latter term includes cross-dressers, men who self-identify as women, women who self-identify as men, and people who are in the process of deciding.

So it pretty much means nothing and everything. It has no definition. You could wake up and say, “Hmm. I feel like a pretty little school girl. I think I’ll use the ladies facilities today.” And no one legally could stop you. If they did, they would be discriminating against your “sexual orientation.” After all, you are “in the process of deciding.”

So what if you are a Christian who says that this type of behavior is a sin? So what is right. You have to either violate your own beliefs or suffer the consequences:

SB 200 threatens religious liberty. That’s because Colorado’s broadly defined “public accommodations” law includes not just hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and all the usual places you’d think of, but also every small business, even a home-based business, that offers “goods or services” to the public.

A refusal to do business with someone based on a sincerely held religious belief that homosexuality is wrong would violate the law. That threatens the religious liberties of every Christian, Jewish or Muslim business owner who operates a business on faith-based principles.

This is not a hypothetical threat. In Albuquerque, which has a similar law, a Christian husband and wife who own and operate their own photography studio were recently hauled before that state’s human rights commission and fined more than $6,600 for politely refusing, on religious grounds, to photograph a lesbian “commitment ceremony.”

Yeah, you read that right. A private photographer refused business to a gay couple because the couple was living in a manner contrary to their beliefs. Never mind the Christian’s beliefs, this is discrimination, so they have to stand tall before the state’s human rights commission. Here’s the story as Volokh (via Velvet Hammer and Stop the ACLU) reported it:

Elaine Huguenin co-owns Elane Photography with her husband. The bulk of Elane’s work is done by Elaine, though she subcontracts some of the work some of the time. Elane refused to photograph Vanessa Willock’s same-sex commitment ceremonies, and just today the New Mexico Human Rights Commission held that this violated state antidiscrimination law. Elane has been ordered to pay over $6600 in attorney’s fees and costs.

Photography is an art, and Huguenin is an artist. It may not be high art, but it embodies a wide range of artistic choices (especially since she says she takes a “photojournalist” approach, rather than just doing normal staged photos). And though she sells the art to its subjects, that is of course part of a long and continuing tradition in the arts, including painting and sculpture, as well as photography. Certainly many of the works protected by the First Amendment (books, newspapers, movies, and the like) were created for money and distributed for money.

Yet the New Mexico government is now telling Huguenin that she must create art works that she does not choose to create.

Woe to the Christian, Muslim or Jewish business owner who refuses to let a man use the women’s room.

How can the morons running Colorado not see this as a threat to women and children in the bathroom? How can they not know that this law will be taken advantage of by predators. Not only in the act of using the women’s room to troll for victim’s, but in furthering the pro-pedophile agenda. As I wrote before in “The Shadow Sexual Revolution – The Push to Legalize Pedophilia”:

The current movement to legalize and normalize pedophilia may seem unrealistic to some. I have yet to have someone agree with me when I claim that it will be legal in the next 25-30 years. But there are many, as I have detailed here, who see pedophiles as an oppressed minority. They see the road to freedom as being the same road homosexuals marched down. The first step would be the removal of pedophilia as a mental illness, a move the APA has already considered. Then, using the research of Kinsey and others mentioned above, the move would be made to abolish the age of consent. With the seeming support of science, this could be possible and it would effectively legalize pedophilia. With the legal burden lifted, the effort would then shift to normalization and acceptance. This is done by pedophiles casting themselves as a minority, a victim of a culture that rejects them. March after march makes the sight of a fifty year old man giving a six year old boy a deep tongue kiss nothing more than a sign of America’s tolerance, regardless of who gets hurt.

Maybe my estimation of 25-30 years was too generous.

RIP Junior Cochran, the 12-year Old Mayor of Rabbit Hash

He was a near thirteen years young.

The Rabbit Hash General Store confirmed Thursday that Junior Cochran died two days before his 13th birthday, Cincinnati television station WLWT reported.

Junior Cochran was elected mayor with more than 3,000 votes in November 2004. A documentary aired on Animal Planet about the black Labrador in 2006.

Now, a town in mourning looks to the future and wonders who will lead.

The store could not say what would happen next, but said that word on the street indicated that previous contenders Marty the mule and Charlie the chicken would have a runoff.

Take a few minutes to remember Junior Cochran, the dog mayor of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky.

Vice President Palin?

Allahpundit says McCain’s Veep hunter is on the ground in Juneau. That’s the capital of Alaska for those who went to public school:

why am I warming up to her? First because the GOP needs new faces, figuratively and literally, and as faces go you can scarcely do better than hers right now (figuratively and literally). Read Fred Barnes’s profile of her from last summer: She’s excellent on ethics, has experience with energy policy, and maintains balance on the environment, opposing the polar bear ruling but calling for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Second, obviously, having her on the ticket would steal some of Obama’s media juice as the candidate with the Narrative versus the same old patrician Republican crap. And third, well, watch this. We’re not going to win the woman vote, but there are surely some Ferraros out there disgruntled enough about how Hillary was treated to give McCain/Palin a very close look. That’s why it’s silly, actually, to care how many electoral votes Alaska would deliver. Her appeal, unlike Crist’s or Ridge’s, has to do with who she is, not where she’s from. Who’s to say she wouldn’t help deliver Florida or Pennsylvania more than either of them?

Student Graduates High School a Year Early with Top GPA; High School Bureaucrats Ruin Her Scholarship

This girl was told by officials in the school system that finishing high school a year early would not affect her “valedictorian status because she earned her four years of high school credit in the district’s schools.”

They were wrong:

Grapevine High School senior Anjali Datta holds the highest grade-point average of the 471 students graduating from Grapevine High School this year.

In fact, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD officials believe her GPA of 5.898 may be the highest in the high school’s history.

It’s still not enough to make her the valedictorian, which brings a one-year college scholarship from the state.
Her closest competitor’s GPA is 5.64. No one disputes that she’s the top student in her class numerically. The problem rests with another number entirely.

Anjali rocketed through high school in only three years.

But a school district policy states: “The valedictorian shall be the eligible student with the highest weighted grade-point average for four years of high school.”

She’s possibly the best student this school has ever seen, and the mind-numbed bureaucrats who run things there are ruining her graduation, and her chance at a scholarship, because she did in three years what it took the rest to do in four. They are punishing excellence!

Anjali says she and her parents are baffled.

“I have not heard of any educational institution penalizing a student for excellence – for completing a demanding set of classes ‘too quickly,’ ” said her father, Deepak Datta. “Anjali’s experience will surely send a strong negative signal to other talented students trying to excel.

“They will most certainly be discouraged from trying to do their best – instead will be more focused on gaming the system.”

Meanwhile, you have other government schools handing out valedictorian status to TWENTY-THREE STUDENTS!

EDMOND — Students chosen as valedictorians and salutatorians in high schools all across the nation have historically been the ones with the highest grade point averages.

In the Edmond school district, valedictorians and salutatorians are students having the highest grade point average through the fall semester prior to graduation.

“The valedictorians will be the students having all A’s; the salutatorians will include the students with all A’s except for one B,” said Edmond North counselor Allison Schneider.

“Designation of the valedictorian/salutatorian honors will be based upon a four point grading scale. All grades are averaged including all repeated courses.”

To qualify as a valedictorian or salutatorian, the student must be enrolled in the Edmond School District at the beginning of the fall semester of his/her senior year.

Edmond’s three high schools including Memorial, North and Santa Fe boast a total of 57 valedictorians and 19 salutatorians representing their 2007 graduating classes.

There can be no weighting of grades. No one can be made to be inferior or superior. We are all part of the collective now.

We are the educational industrial complex. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

More Election Humor, or is it?

I Hope you understand the difference between the three candidates, but just in case you don’t, here is a little parable to help.

John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama were walking down a Washington, D.C. Street when they came upon a homeless person. The Republican, McCain, gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

Hillary was very impressed, so when they came upon another homeless person, she decided to help. She walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. She then reached into McCain’s pocket and got out $20. She kept $15 for her administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.

When they came upon yet another homeless person, Barak told the homeless person to “Have
Hope. Change is coming,” and gave him nothing.

Now, do you understand The Differences?

CCW Permit Holder Stops Mass Shooting…Again

From Dustin’s Gun Blog:

In the small town of Winnemucca Nevada a man bent on performing a mass shooting at a bar was stopped by an armed CCW permit holder who happened to be in the right place at the right time. The alleged mass murderer had already killed two victims & had injured two others with gunshot wounds, but after reloading to resume his shooting spree he was shot & killed by an armed CCW permit holder who was also at the bar. The alleged mass murderer & his two dead victims were already dead by the time Police arrived on the scene once again proving that when seconds count, only the immediate responders are already on the scene, while first responders (Police) are only minutes away. This is further proof that gun free zones are a travesty that must be ended.

You have to like happy endings.

And gun free zones not only need to be ended, but carry zones need to be established. I would be happy to drink in a bar where I knew responsible people were armed. This isn’t Dodge City, Kansas. Folks would enjoy themselves and know that the likelihood of some kill-happy clown shooting the place up would be slim. And if it did happen, well, review the above again.

Tom Tancredo's Team America

Not to be confused with the Parker and Stone “Team America,” Tom Tancredo is running a PAC called, Team American PAC.

He recently sent out a letter to supporters:

Dear Friend,

I am writing to you today about a matter of critical importance for our immigration reform movement. But before I do, I want to tell you again just how deeply I appreciate your loyalty to our cause, and also your tremendous sacrifices for me during our presidential campaign. Literally, not a day has gone by since I ended my candidacy for the Republican nomination that I have not thought about you and the thousands of Americans who worked so hard, and contributed so generously, to help me force discussion of the illegal immigration crisis on to the presidential campaign stage.

Thank you, again, for all you have done for our cause and for me personally. I owe you a debt of thanks that words alone can never repay. Although our campaign ended, the fight to secure our borders and preserve our national identity has not. Far from it!

Last year “We the people” taught the elites a lesson when we killed the Bush-McCain-Kennedy bill, and the other side has not gained any ground in Congress since then!

But in November, we will elect a new Congress, as well as a new President. Whatever happens in these elections, we must be ready to stop the next effort by the open-borders lobby to jam amnesty for illegals down our throats.

And let’s face it: both the major presidential candidates have shown plenty of willingness to respond to pressure of the Hispanic and big business lobbies, and compromise America’s security at our borders! So it is imperative that we elect some strong pro-immigration reform, anti-amnesty candidates to Congress this year! And that is why I am writing to you today.

My good friend and conservative activist Bay Buchanan (who headed my presidential campaign) is chairman of the “Team America Political Action Committee.” Team America PAC exists for one and only one reason: to support the election to Congress of candidates who share our commitment to supporting full border security, and opposing all amnesty measures for illegal aliens (whether they call it amnesty or not).

In other words, Team America PAC only supports candidates that you and I would support. Team America PAC’s endorsement is the “Tancredo Gold Seal of Approval” for congressional candidates who support real immigration reform and oppose amnesty. Now that our presidential campaign is over, Bay is turning her attention to Team America PAC and to the upcoming congressional elections. One great benefit of our presidential campaign is that we helped inspire some really great immigration reform activists to run for office this year… now we need to help them!

Can I count on you to help our cause today with a generous contribution to Team America PAC? Bay and Team America need to raise money immediately to help our candidates, and since I don’t know of anyone more committed to this cause than you, I really hope you can help them today.[Click Here to contribute to Team America PAC]

I know you will do all you can to help Team America. You were always there when I needed you, and our cause needs you today! Thanks so much.

My best to you and your family,
Tom Tancredo
Founding Chairman, Team America PAC

PS. I’m continuing to fight hard in Congres for our cause. When my term in Congress ends, I will be continuing to work with you in the fight to secure our borders. Until then, your support of Team America is one of the best ways you can help our cause this year. You can visit their website and read about some of these great candidates at http://www.teamamericapac.org

Sounds like an organization we should be getting to know.
